Funeral services for Mary Katherine Long Carr Touchstone, 95, of Glen Allan will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 26, 2022 at Glen Allan United Methodist Church. She died Monday, December 19, 2022 at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Kat was born in Swiftown, MS graduating from Swiftown Public Schools and then attended Mississippi College for Women. She later moved to Greenville where she met and married Paul Everette Carr. Kat worked at JcPenney and then she and her husband later owned and operated Carr Plumbing until retiring in 1980. Mr. Carr preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Rex Touchstone making their home in Glen Allan. He preceded her in death in 1998. Kat was a member of Glen Allan United Methodist Church.
She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Carr. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Carr (Martin Myers); a son, James Everette Carr (Judy); 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of her sitters that helped care for her.
