Funeral services for Mary Louise Banks, 89, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Banks was a mother, grandmother and homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Banks is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, U. Cortez Banks; a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Oakes; great granddaughter, Ava Grace Oakes; two sisters, Eloise Soto and Shirley Redwine and by a brother, Rayburn Price. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Banks Oakes (Bryan) and Kathy Banks Copeland (William); three grandchildren, Trey Copeland, Breanna Copeland Lee and Bryan Oakes, Jr.; and by four great grandchildren, Trace Oakes, Mason Oakes, Landon Nevels and Corbin Lee Copeland.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
