Funeral Mass for Mary Louise Orsi Ferreri, 90, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, Leland. She died Saturday, February 20 at Brookdale Senior Living. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Murphy, MS and graduated from Hollandale public schools. She married Larry Ferreri making their home in Wilmot where they owned and operated Suitsme Grocery for 44 years. After closing the store, she was employed with Burdette Gin and Stein Mart. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of St. James Altar Society and Leland Deer Creek Garden Club.
Her husband preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by 2 daughters, Anita F. Minton of Leland and Patricia F. Maugh of Leland; a son, Larry Joe Ferreri of Greenwood; 2 sisters, Bettye O. Wilson of Pinellas Park, FL and Frances O. Boykin of Natchez; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Molly Eastland, Michelle Rankin, Scott Maugh and David Maugh and 10 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 223 at St. James Catholic Church with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living and Grace Hospice for all their care.
