Graveside services for Mary Olivia Summers McKinnon, 89, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Legacy Manor Nursing Home.
Mary Olivia Summers McKinnon was born to Homer Summers and Tess Gordon Summers, on August 19, 1931 in Ruleville, MS. She married Frank McClain McKinnon on January 11, 1947. She lived out most of her life in Greenville, although she did reside in other towns throughout her life.
She loved her family more than anything and doted on them. She loved gospel music and watching gospel shows on television. She loved long stem roses.
Mrs. McKinnon was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Frank McClain McKinnon, her parents, Homer and Tess Gordon Summers, her brother, Homer Jerald Summers and a sister, Katherine Summers Duvall. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Tommy Jerald McKinnon (Sally) and Nicky Doyle McKinnon (Dianne); a daughter, Debbie McKinnon Nix (Jimmy); two sisters, Tina Marshall and Bonnie Vincent; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
