Funeral Mass for Mary Rose Fratesi, 78, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church, Leland. She died Friday, August 8, 2014 at Washington Care Center, Greenville after a short illness. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She was born in Cleveland, MS to Sam and Katie Fratesi and moved to Leland at an early age. She graduated from Leland High School in 1954. Miss Fratesi retired from Waterways Marine of Greenville after 25 years of service and recently retired as secretary of St. James Catholic Church of Leland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Sam, Charles and Paul Fratesi and brother-in-law, Charles Sullivan. She is survived by a brother, Mack Fratesi (Ollie), 2 sisters, Gloria Sullivan and Viola Butler (Tom), and a host of nieces and nephews to which she dedicated her life.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church, Leland.
