Funeral services for Michael Earl Minchew, Jr., 40 of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Restoration Church, Greenville. He passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery, Glen Allan.
Michael liked dirt track racing and nascar racing and he also loved to hunt. He enjoyed spending time with his son, nieces and nephews. He never met a stranger. Michael was an angel on earth for 40 years.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jimmy Smith; paternal grandparents, Howard Newman Minchew and Lucille Minchew and a niece, Kylie Lick. He is survived by a son, Michael E. Minchew III of Greenville; his parents, Donna Smith and Michael E. Minchew, Sr. of Greenville; three sisters, Melissa (Shane) Gill of Florence, MS, Amanda (Robert) Potter of Greenville and Jennifer (Josh) Jacks of Greenville; grandmother, Mildred Smith of Greenville; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Austin) Duran, Kirsten Oswalt, Zackary Gill, Scooter Oswalt and Brandon Langley; great nieces, Zoey Gill and Riley Duran and great nephew Lawson Gill.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Lonnie Wren, Scooter Oswalt, Jeremiah Toten, Jared Whitt and William Corley.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
