Mitchell Roby Baugh

Funeral services for Mitchell Roby Baugh, 75, of Greenwood will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Hollandale Baptist Church. He died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Burial will follow in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

Mr. Baugh was born in Darlove, MS and graduated from Hollandale High School. He married Diane Tomlinson after high school and attended Mississippi Delta Community College. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. After his discharge, he continued his service with the National Guard serving during Desert Storm. He retired from the military after 31 years of service. He and his wife made their home in Hollandale where he was employed with Hollandale Rice Dryer for over 40 years. He was a member of the Hollandale Volunteer Fire Department and served as Chief for 15 years.

Mr. Baugh was a Past Master and 32nd degree Mason of the Thomas Gaddis 379 Lodge and a Shriner. He was a member of the VFW post 5747 and a member of the Hollandale Baptist Church. After his retirement, he moved to Carroll County and was a resident of the VA Nursing home in Kosciusko since December 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Baugh of Greenwood; two sons, Tom Baugh (Brooke) of Greenwood and Russ Baugh (Tara) of Madison; mother, Lizzie Mae Baugh of Greenville; two sisters, Marie Baugh Clark and Donna Baugh; five brothers, Irvin Baugh, William Baugh, Danny Baugh, Jackie Baugh and Roger Dale Baugh; and four grandchildren, Reeves Baugh, Garland Baugh, Aiden Valente and Hodges Valente.

There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
