Monroe Raymon Hendrick

Funeral services for Monroe Raymon Hendrick, 90, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.  There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Bro. Jack Manor will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery. He passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home.  He was born on May 5, 1935, to Hamilton Hendrick and Ruth Davis Hendrick.

He grew up and graduated high school in Rosedale, MS.  He was an Eagle Scout.  He attended Delta State a year later.  He went into the Army for 3 years where he served in the Army Security Agency as an interpreter in the Czech language. He attended the Army Language School in Monterey, CA.

After his time in the military, he came home and married Mary Alice Fulbright on May 4, 1958 and one year later had a son, Jerry Raymon Hendrick.  They were married 62 years.

He went to work for the United States Postal Service where he served a long 40 years.  He rose through the ranks from a clerk to the manager of the Crossroads Station.  After his long service with the Post Office, he was one of the first employees to help open the Office Depot store in 1998 and worked there for 15 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Fulbright Hendrick; son, Jerry Raymon Hendrick; two sisters, Selma Hendrick Malone and Evelyn Hendrick Lancaster; and two brothers, Robert Alexander Hendrick and Lloyd Hendrick.

He is survived by a grandson, Tyler Hayden Hendrick of St. Petersburg, FL and a daughter-in-law, Jamie Hendrick Suber (Danny) of Greenville, MS.
