Funeral services for Morris Adrian Ware, Jr., 81, of Greenville will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Burial will be at the Greenville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Morris was born in Ruleville, MS to the late Morris Ware, Sr. and Juanita Wood Ware. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda Ware. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted Ware.
As a young boy, Morris spent his time on the Sunflower River where he helped in the family bait business. He later became a master welder and opened Ware’s Welding in the early seventies. Morris had a creative mind, a gift for building anything, and was a businessman until the end. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children. He loved to go to all his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and took pride in everything they accomplished.
He is survived by a daughter, Melinda (Bevin) Scarborough; sons, Morris “Bubba” Ware and Danny (Kate) Ware all of Greenville, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brandon (Kaylie) Scarborough, Hope (Randy) Bolden, Justin (Lindsey) Ware, Brian (Kelsey) Ware, Kelby Ware, Riggs Ware and Rylie Ware. He is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Barrett Scarborough, Gracie Scarborough, Kalie Scarborough, Faith Ann Bolden, Brody Bolden, Justin “J” Ware, Adren Ware, and Owen Ware. He is also survived by five sisters, Faye Roberts, Shirley Bowman, Wanda (Terry) Newton, Betsy (Frank) Stewart, and Patsy Livingston.
There will be a visitation at the funeral home before the service at 3:00 p.m.
