Funeral services with full Military Rites for Myron Pell Parker III., 72, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Boone-Smith Funeral Home. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13 surrounded by his loved ones. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Parker was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, was honorably discharged after 21 1/2 years. Upon returning to the States, Mr. Parker was a police officer with the Greenville Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Pell Parker, Jr and his mother, Katherine Parker and by a son, Andru David Parker. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Parker, his children, Leann Hunt, Tammy Campbell Culberson (Steve), Myron Pell Parker IV, Michael Shane Campbell, and Regina Campbell; 9 granchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at Boone-Smith Funeral Home.
