Funeral services for Nancy Daniels Simpson, 78, of Wayside will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Lake Washington Baptist Church in Glen Allen. She passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, December 27,2019. Burial will be at County Line Cemetery in Glen Allen under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born June 13, 1941 in Indianola, Mississippi to Louis and Lily Mae Daniels. She graduated high school from Glen Allen High School in 1959.
She worked for Western Line School District for over 20 years. After retirement she enjoyed her family.
Nancy was a strong willed and selfless woman. She took many names ; Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, and to most, Granny. She loved spending pretty days outside in her flower garden. Although she loved outdoors; her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her biggest blessings that kept her busy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lily Mae Daniels, sister Jeaneane McBride, and her husband, Mack Simpson.
Nancy is survived by her brother and sister Clifton Daniels and Carolyn Ross of Glen Allen; her three daughters; Nancy McDaniel of Wayside, Lynda Simpson of Wayside, and Shelia King of Greenville; 4 granddaughters; Erin Triplett of Leland, Mika Hogue of Wayside, Kurstie King of Greenville, Halie (Josh) Warn of Morton; one grandson Reed Simpson (Hannah)of Leland. And 6 great grandchildren, Cayden, Carson, Lily-Michael, Ryker, Hayes, and Lainey Grace.
There will be a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
