Nell Tate Livingston, 92, of Leland was called home to be with the Lord February 2, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Boone Funeral Home, Leland is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 22, 1929 to Clifford Alexander Tate, Sr. and Gertrude Elizabeth Roberts Tate. After graduating from Leland High School, she attended Mississippi State College for Women where she obtained a B.S. in home economics. While at the W, she was a member of the Home Economics Club, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Chemistry Club, Bach Society and the American Guild of Organists. After graduation, she married her childhood sweetheart, Rex Livingston, and they lived in Elizabeth where she raised their two children. Nell was a longtime member of the Leland-Deer Creek Garden Club. She was also the organist for the Leland United Methodist Church for over 70 years.
Nell is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughter Beth Williams (Jerry) of Milledgeville, GA, her son, Darrell Livingston (Patti) of Leland, four grandchildren, Kathryn Belville (Robert) of Richmond Hill, GA, Tate Williams (Amber) of Jacksonville, NC, Rex Livingston of Ft. Collins, Co, Parker Livingston (Morgan) of Mobile, AL, and two great-granddaughters, Carson Belville of Richmond Hill, GA and Krislyn Williams of Jacksonville, NC.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle of Greenville and Delta Regional Home Health and Hospice for the care they have given Nell.
