Norma Kirkland Jefferies Hall

Graveside services for Norma Kirkland Jefferies Hall, 99, of Greenville will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Greenville Cemetery, She passed away at her home, March 17, 2023.

She was born in Pattison Mississippi, on November 17, 1923 to James Earl Jefferies, and Anna Kirkland Jefferies. She attended elementary school in Claiborne County and moved with her family to Leland, Mississippi when she was twelve years old. She graduated from Leland High School in 1941. She was married to Guy Hall, Sr. from February of 1942, until his death in January of 2022.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, MS, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Kindergarten teacher. She was a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Greenville, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and board member of The Lighthouse Lodge. Her hobbies included genealogy, gardening, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her two sisters, Kate Morrison, and Mabel Roberts; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Stephenson Hall. She is survived by her son Guy Hall, Jr. (Evelyn Edwards); her three granddaughters, Jane Stock (Gene), Anna Rives O’Reilly (Rob), and Shelby Hollister (Graham); eight great-grandchildren, George, Maggie, and Liza Stock; Hall and Ella Rives O’Reilly; Elizabeth and Jefferies Nunnery, and Mamie Hollister.

It has been said of her that “you knew what she thought, and where she stood.”

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, The Community Foundation of Washington County, Arms of Mercy, or Camp Looking Glass.
