Funeral services for Ola Mae Wilson will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Delta Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born to her parents Lester and Josie Robertson and lived most of her life in Greenville where she graduated from E. E. Bass School. In January 1953 she married the love of her life, Leonard Wilson and they had three children. She was a loving wife and mother.
She had a love for numbers and enjoyed working for Holland Dodge and Chad Oxner Dealerships doing their accounting work. Later in her life she and Leonard moved to Onward, MS to own and operate the Onward Store. She loved working with her customers and employees. She enjoyed the fact that Theodore Roosevelt use to hunt in that area and that’s where he couldn’t shoot the Bear, so he acquired the name Teddy after the Teddy Bear. Another favorite thing she truly enjoyed was shopping with her sisters. They were all so cute together laughing like a bunch of kids. As her health declined she really missed those times with her sisters.
She led a full life surrounded by her family. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Inmon; two sons, David Wilson (Scarlet) and Kenny Wilson (Debbie); stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Blanchard Landry; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Oubre, Julie Haynes, Amber Gentry, Brent Burrus, Misty Todd, Brad Blanchard and Kelly Blanchard Landry; numerous great grandchildren, Kalyn and Marley Oubre, Dakota and Dalton Gentry, Corbin Haynes, Garrett, Christopher and Abby Burrus, Gage and Gavin Todd, Layla Gullett, Amelia Beavers, Connor, Claire and Abbie Blanchard, Cody and Kristyn Alford and Carter Landry.; three sisters, Mary Kavitz, Peggy Bartel, and Nancy Lewis; and brother-in-law, Louie Bartel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Josie Robertson; husband, Leonard D. Wilson, Sr.; granddaughter, Stephanie Molinari Beavers; great grandchild, Andrew Molinari and two brothers, Ferrell Robertson and Louis Robertson.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating the service is Mark Kelly.
