Oma Dell Little Ward

Funeral services for Oma Dell Little Ward, 88, of West Columbia, TX and formerly of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Leland.  She died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her home in Texas.  Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., at Marks Cemetery, Marks, MS.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

Oma was born in Quitman County, MS on November 12, 1925 the first of twelve children, to Lemuel and Ninner Little.  She married R. M. Ward on April 29, 1946 in Lyon, MS.  Oma was a true Southern lady who loved her home state of Mississippi.  She loved people and unselfishly helped others. Oma loved the Lord and enjoyed volunteering for various organizations.  She worked all of her life in various jobs including manager of the Benoit Outing Club, Leland Racquet Club and Owner of Leland Cafe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Richard Ward, grandson, Rob Tosch, five sisters and one brother.  She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Tosch (Robert) of West Columbia, TX; 2 grandchildren, Mick Tosch (Carmel) and Amy Tosch Lozano (Darren); 5 great grandchildren, Mickayla, Jordan and Rob Tosch and Cody and Ty Lozano; 2 sisters, Dot Frazier and Cheryl Bailey; 3 brothers, Mack, Phil and Bill Little and numerous niecs and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials may be made to Arms of Mercy, Greenville, MS, Central CEMS in West Columbia, TX or to a charity of your choice.
