Funeral services for Otis “Buck” Clifton Comfort, Jr., 78, of Tallahassee, FL and formerly of Glen Allan, MS and Crystal River, FL will be at Noon, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Lake Washington First Baptist Church of Glen Allan, MS. He passed away peacefully in Tallahassee, FL on Friday, July 23, 2021 after an extended illness. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan under the direction of Boone Funeral Home of Greenville, MS.
He was born on May 9, 1943 in Memphis, TN.
He is survived by his daughter Dana Comfort Gay (Jim Ring) of Tallahassee, FL and granddaughter Rylie Joyce Gay of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by one sister Frances Comfort White of Stephenville, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rita Ann (Riley) Comfort and his parents Otis Clifton Comfort, Sr. and Leona Holden Carl.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Lake Washington First Baptist Church in Glen Allan, MS. Donations may be sent to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL in his name.
