Pamela Diane Upchurch Alford

Funeral services for Pamela Diane Upchurch Alford, 66, of Leland will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 24, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.

Pam was born on September 6, 1955 to Ulen and Mozell Upchurch. Pam married the love of her life Jerry Alford at a young age and together they ran their family business, Alford’s Air Technology. Over the years Pam served in various areas in her community. Pam volunteered at Greenville Christian School while her children attended by coordinating many fundraisers, filling in as a substitute teacher, serving as a home room mother each year and overseeing the booster club. Pam also served as the chairman of the crisis ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents Ulen and Mozell Upchurch, stepfather Roger Gregg, brothers Vennis, Broadus, Ralph and Richard Upchurch.

Pam is survived by her husband of 50 years Jerry Alford, her son Jerry Alford Jr. (Sangie) of Lake Village, daughters Cheryl Hollis (Drewitt) of Leland and Brooke Patterson (Hosea) of Richland. Her grandchildren Haley Ray (Blake), Jessica Pearson (Chris), Cortney and Nicole Alford and Everette and Blake Patterson, three great grandchildren Logan and Merideth Blake Ray and Cohen Pearson, her sister Bea Ellis and brothers Asie and Jerry Upchurch and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church and also a visitation one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Bro. Chris Johns will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Everette Patterson, Wesley Brown, Chad Bryant, Cecil Carter, Randy Stockton and Greg Welch.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Grace Hospice, Tammy Clolinger, Sherry Malone, Patricia Casavechia, LaTonja Williams-Hall and Latisha Fain for loving and taking care of our wife and mother over the last few years.
