Funeral Mass for Pasquina “Pat” Fratesi, 94, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5 at St. James Catholic Church in Leland. She passed away peacefully Friday, March 1 at Mississippi Care Center. Burial will be in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Born in Bourbon, MS on March 26, 1924, she lived most of her life in Leland and attended Leland schools.
She was a woman of strong faith with a kind and loving spirit, an exceptional cook, and wonderful mother who will be deeply missed by friends and loved ones alike.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Alex Zepponi, by her husband of 53 years, Mike Fratesi, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Belz; two sons, Michael and Larry Fratesi; a sister, Laura Tannehill (Joe) and two brothers, Tony and Alex Zepponi.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mississippi Care Center, Grace Hospice, Dr. Cirilli and Carrie Boehs for their comforting care during Pat’s illness.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. James Catholic Church, 312 E. Third Street, Leland, MS 38756.
