Paul Austin Bingham, age 76, beloved husband and father, passed away in his home in El Paso, Texas on February 11, 2016, surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 19 at Greenfield Cemetery.
He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 15, 1939. In 1951 he moved with his family to New Orleans, Louisiana. He went on to attend Tulane University, graduating with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1961. He then accepted a job at White Sands Missile Range where he worked until his retirement in 2004. During his career he was involved in the Pershing Missile and NASA Apollo projects and received his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University.
Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Kay Youngblood, and their three children, Shirley Bingham-Perrin (John), Matt Austin Bingham, and Lacey Bingham-Ramos (Lalo). He is also survived by six grandchildren: Amelia, Hannah, Madelyn, Ellison, Austin, and Henry, sister Winnie Bingham Quinzi (Tony), and fourteen nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Felton Louis Bingham and Winifred Wells Bingham, older brother Felton Wells Bingham, and sister-in-law Eddine Lawson Bingham.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
