Memorial services for Paul Edward Williams, Sr., 87, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 13 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2018 peacefully at his home. Boone Funeral Home, Greenville is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born on March 19, 1931 to Maither Dickerson Williams and Willie Lester Williams. He was a hardworking man who loved his family and was always willing to do for others that needed a helping hand.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, W. L. Williams, Floyd Williams, Sammy Williams; and sisters, Laverne Dodd, Mary Wintrone, and Myrtis Fox.
He is survived by his children, Paul Edward Williams, Jr. (Kristie) of Belzoni, Mississippi; Greg Williams (Jenny) of Haymarket, Virginia; Paula Tierce (Robert) of Ridgeland, Mississippi; former wife, Betty Williams of Greenville, Mississippi; sister, Maureen Thompson of Spring Hill, Tennessee; and brother, Pete (Martha) Williams of Greenville, Mississippi.
Paul had nine grandchildren, Josh Williams (Christa) of Brandon, MS; Mari Aden Johnson (Dean) of Belzoni, MS; Erin Alexander (Justin); John Williams, Joe Williams, Morgan Williams, and J.P. Williams of Haymarket, VA; Robin Maberry (Matt) of Madison, MS; and Gregory Tierce (Camden McMinn) of Ridgeland, MS. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Will Johnson; Hayes Johnson, Cole Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and Lawson Alexander.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please contribute to First Baptist Ridgeland or First Presbyterian Church Belzoni, MS.
