Paul Frank Mauceli

A Funeral Mass for Paul Frank Mauceli Sr., 87, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m., following a visitation at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville. He died from natural causes Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
 

Paul was born Dec 31,, 1928, in Greenville to Elizabeth and Salvadore Mauceli and was an only child. He grew up in Greenville and married Mackie Wooley. They were married together for 61 years and had five children. He graduated from EE Bass, Greenville.  

Paul built his home with his wife, Mackie Mauceli, when they were 19 and 24, and where he has resided for 57 years. He loved his home and having friends and family there. He was the very best father and grandfather. 

He and Mackie traveled to many places, such as Hawaii, Acapulco Mexico, Italy, Spain, Istanbul Turkey and many places in the United States. He was an entrepreneur and a hardworking man that loved to work all his life. His famous quote was “If you love what you do, it’s not work.” He invested in commercial real estate all his life and owned his own business, Paul’s Novelty Shop, where he had an automated vending business for many years. Later in life, he obtained his real estate license, where he worked beside his wife and, together, owned a very successful Century 21 Franchise in Greenville for many years.  

Paul loved animals and even had a pet squirrel that he could feed from his hand in his yard. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville. He was a man of great faith. Slow to anger and very kind and thankful man are just a few words that come to mind and he was loved by many.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvadore and Elizabeth Mauceli, his wife, Mackie Wooley, and his grandson, Paul Mauceli III.  

He is survived by five children, Paul (Beth Ann) Mauceli Jr., Michael (Sherry) Mauceli, Greg Mauceli, Beth (Greg) Mauceli Blanc, Misti Mauceli (Mike) Lewis; and eight grandchildren, Paul Mauceli III, Berkley and Gregory Blanc, Austin, Laike and Jillie Lewis, and Madelyn Mauceli and Bellamy Mauceli.
