Pauline “Polly” Ferguson

Graveside services for Pauline “Polly” Ferguson, 96, of Greenville will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  She died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Mississippi Care Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Greenville where she graduated from Greenville High School.  In 1951 she married George Ferguson.  She was employed with a local radio station for 25 years as a bookkeeper. She was a former member of the Greenville Kennel Club and the Cajun Pomeranian Club.  She bred and raised pomeranian show dogs, having shown many on to their championship.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Faithful Sunday School Class and was a member of Saints Alive Choir.

She was preceded in death by husband, daughter, Lynda P. Terney, son-in-law, Phillip Terney, granddaughter, Taylor Terney and step-son, Ronald Ferguson.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Lillian F. Schultz (Billy) of Greenville; 7 grandchildren, Melynda T. Parker (Rodney), Meredith T. Nerren, Leslie Nichols (Matt), Melissa Willis (Spence), Aisa Watson, Adam Ferguson (Lisa), and Mike Holmes (Brenda); 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:30 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
