Graveside services for Phillip Wayne Kerr, 81, of Greenville, Mississippi will be held on Tuesday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan, Mississippi. He passed on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Delta Health System in Greenville, Mississippi. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Phillip Wayne Kerr, further known as Wayne, was born to William Vernon Kerr and Edna Glenna Kerr in McCool, Mississippi on September 2, 1943. Phillip Wayne Kerr was born one of three children. He is survived by his two sisters Patricia Mayfeild and Judy Cooper. Wayne Kerr is survived by his two Children: Phillip Wayne Kerr II (Cheryl) of Greenville, Mississippi and Cheryl McBride(Tom) of Lebanon, Missouri, His three grandchildren: Katie Russell(Tyler), Haley Wasmer(Tyler), and Avery Kerr, and five great-grandchildren.
Wayne lived in Greenville and worked as a truck driver for over 50 years. He loved the trucker life and worked until his death. When he wasn’t on the road, Wayne lived and breathed the culture of the Delta. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending his days talking and spending time with his family and friends.
The surviving family of Wayne would like to thank all the thoughts, prayers, and support of those around. He is eternally loved and will be missed forever.
