Funeral Mass for Richard Frank Mascagni, 75, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Thursday, February 1 at his home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Greenville and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School. Richard attended the University of Mississippi on a football scholarship, but later transferred to Delta State University. After graduation he was engaged in farming then became employed with the Greenville Public Schools as a teacher and coach. He retired in 2005. Richard was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Charles Mascagni and mother, Ann Mascagni. He is survived by a sister, Shirley Mascagni Pace of Greenville; step-son, Todd Mascagni of Lena, MS; two step grandsons, three nieces and five great nephews.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
