Graveside services for Richard Jack Jenkins, Jr., 68 of Indianola will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Indianola City Cemetery. He passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at South Sunflower County Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Indianola, MS on January 11, 1952 to Bonnie Brown and Richard Jackson Jenkins. He graduated from Indianola Academy and then Mississippi Delta Community College. Mr. Jenkins owned and operated 82 East Garage. He served in the Mississippi National Guard and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Swepson Jenkins. He is survived by a son, Jackie Jenkins (Kathryn) of Indianola, MS; daughter, Emily Owens (Karl) of Indianola; two brothers, John Jenkins of Mt. Sterling, KY and Ray Jenkins of Indianola; sister, Katie Marquis of Indianola; fiancé, Linda Whittington of Sunflower and 8 grandchildren.
