Richard Mack Taylor

Funeral services for Richard Mack Taylor, 82, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.  He passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at The Pinnacle in Greenville.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

 

Mr. Taylor was born in Greenville where he graduated from Greenville High School. In 1955 he enlisted in the U. S. Army serving until 1958.  After his discharge he returned to Greenville where he became employed with Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline as a repairman.  In 1996 he retired from ANR/El Paso Pipeline as Superintendent.  He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Ivory Taylor, sisters, Norma Jean Jennings and Carolyn Bishop and by a brother, Rudolph Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce McNemar Taylor of Greenville; two daughters, Cathy Cummins (Troy) of McCool, MS and Connie Lambert of Olive Branch, MS; two sons, Mack Taylor, Jr. (Angela) of Owensboro, KY and Rodney Taylor (Emily) of Greenville, MS; sister, Martha Lindsay of Greenville; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

 

There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
