Funeral services for Rita Ann Riley Comfort, 72, of Glen Allan will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27 at Lake Washington Baptist Church. She died peacefully at her home on Monday, March 25. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Rita is survived by her husband Otis (Buck) Comfort, Jr., daughter Dana Comfort Gay of Tallahassee, Florida, granddaughter Riley Joyce Gay of Orlando, Florida, sister Sandra Riley Weaver and brother Billy Ray Riley, both of Star City Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Johnnie (Stokes) Riley, brothers Clifford Elmo (Bubba) Riley, Jack Kennedy Riley, John Nelson Riley, and sister, Amanda Carol Riley.
Rita was born on August 26, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama to Elmo and Johnnie Riley. She graduated from Glen Allan High School in 1964 and then from Delta Beauty College in 1965. She married Otis C (Buck) Comfort in 1973.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Lake Washington Baptist Church. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the graveside service.
