Funeral services for Robbie Lee Sims Hammock, 83, of Leland will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Monday, June 4 at her home. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She was born in Waldon, AR moving to Lake Village, AR with her parents where she graduated from Lake Village High School. She married Preston Hammock and they had made their home in Leland since 1960. Mrs. Hammock was employed with Joe Turner Hardware until it closed. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, R. A. Sims and Clara Watkins Sims, four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra H. Garcia (Sonny) of Leland; son, Albert Hammock (Betty) of Bossier City, LA; brother, Marvin Sims (Pat) of Leland; brother-in-law, Charles Hammock of Bossier City, LA; four grandchildren, Cory G. Box (Randy) of Pontotoc, Jennifer Garcia of Leland, Brad A. Hammock of Ft. Worth, TX and Chris S. Hammock of Bossier City, LA; four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Box, Anna Grace Box, Preston Harris Garcia and Shelby L. Hammock and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
