Funeral services for Robert (Bobby) Mecklin Carson, Jr. 67, of Vaiden will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in an accident near Indianola. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Old Plank Cemetery in Vaiden. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born July 10, 1953 in Lake Village, AR to Bob and Sadie Carson. He is a retired truck driver for Lewis Grocery Company. He loved hunting and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Teetle) Carson, father, Robert M. Carson, Sr., mother, Sadie (Jesse) Rushing, a brother, Billy Rushing and an infant son, Robert M. Carson III.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his four loving children, Katie (Brewer) Vaught of Greenville, Robby (Lauren) Carson of Ackerman, MS, Candace J. (Matt) Tilley of Columbus, MS, and Hunter (Kristen) Swafford of Greenville; two sisters and two brothers, Jackie West of Carrolton, MS, Nickie Hinton of Mebane, NC, Larry (Rhonda) Carson of Vaiden, MS and Dennis Wills of Tillatoba, MS. He also leaves eleven loving grandchildren, Mecklyn and Amelia Vaught, Bella and Eli Tilley, Jasper, Beau, Walker, Lily and Andrew Carson, and Jenna Kay and Owen Swafford and a God-child, Jamie Cole.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Jae Smith will officiate the services.
