Funeral services for Robert Earl “Bob” Johnson, 74, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Cornerstone Baptist Church. He passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Winona, MS and moved to Greenville at the age of 10. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and served in the Army National Guard. Bob married Holly Nantz and they made their home in Greenville where he was employed with Planters Bank as Assistant Vice President/Collections Officer until his death. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Bob is survived by his wife, Holly Johnson of Greenville; son, Van Johnson (Teresa) of Greenville and granddaughter, Avery Johnson of Greenville.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Saturday at the church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the DSU Foundation Inc., P. O. Box 3141, Cleveland, MS 38732 in honor of Bob Johnson to assist with student scholarships or Cornerstone Baptist Church (missions) 1407 East Reed Road, Greenville, MS 38703.
