Funeral services for Robert Frank Farmigoni, 78, of Montgomery, TX and formerly of Greenville will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 10 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. On the morning of July 4, 2015, our Heavenly Father called his beloved child Robert Frank Farmigoni home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Bob was born on October 18, 1936, in Greenville, Mississippi. He graduated from E.E. Bass High School in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart, Pat Thomas, on June 1, 1954. They were married for 61 years. He started his career in banking at Commercial National Bank in Greenville, where he worked for eight years. After the birth of his three children, he moved with his family to Oxford to attend the University of Mississippi while working at the First National Bank. He graduated cum laude in August 1965 with a degree in Banking and Finance. In 1966, he returned to Greenville to work at First National Bank. He continued his education and received two Master’s degrees in Banking and Finance from Louisiana State University and the University of Oklahoma. He also taught college level classes through Delta State University. He worked in the banking industry for 37 years.
He was a deeply religious man and embraced the Baptist denomination. He was an ordained deacon at age 20 and was very active in the choir at all the churches he attended until his health did not allow him to continue.
He was deeply loved by his friends and family. All who knew him will remember his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Tony and Syclene Formigoni, his oldest brother, Tony Formigoni Jr., and his beloved daughter, Cindy Farmigoni Chase.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Thomas Farmigoni; his daughter, Connie Farmigoni Bennett and her husband David; his son, Robert Frank Farmigoni, Jr. and his wife Kim; his grandchildren, Meredith Bennett Young and her husband Chris, Brooke Farmigoni Allen and her husband Dalton, Robert Frank “Trey” Farmigoni III and his wife Marissa, and Morgan Brett Bennett; and his great-grandson Hudson William Allen. He also leaves behind three siblings, his brother, Johnny Formigoni and his wife Charlotte; his two sisters, Mildred Formigoni Taft and Judy Formigoni Sanders; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
The visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 6-8 p.m.
