Funeral Mass for Robert Fratesi, 81, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died Thursday, April 18 at his home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Fratesi was born on October 26, 1937 in Leland, MS to Herman and Violet Santucci Fratesi. He was active in St. Joseph Catholic Church and Schools. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus, becoming a 4th Degree Sir Knight in 1964 and State Deputy in 1985.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Katie Lute Fratesi. He is survived by his wife Anna Warren Fratesi of Greenville; his children, Kathy Fratesi Anderson of Pontotoc, MS, Debbie Fratesi Long (Michael) of Hattiesburg, MS, Lesley McDougal Downs (Josh) of Fairhope, AL, Toni Tharp Baker (Keith) of Tupelo, MS and Ron Tharp (Terry) of Nashville, TN; sisters, Janie Fratesi Miller of Greenville and Barbara Fratesi Parkerson (Donnie) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Katherine Anderson, Ryan Anderson, John Braxton Downs, Katie Long, William Long and Maddie Downs.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, April 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a Catholic Organization or to St. Vincent DePaul.
