Memorial services for Robert Lee Johnson, 90, of Leland will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at United Pentecostal Church in Cleveland. He died peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Walter B Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Robert was born in Lambert, MS to Frank L. and Effie McLofton Johnson. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 12 years then moved to Leland in the late 60’s where he worked for Fratesi Farms for 30-plus years until retiring.
He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Cleveland. He was a minister for 30-plus years. Robert loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, and traveling with his son Bobby. He lived the last several years of his life on Lake Monocnoc in Leland where he enjoyed fishing almost daily.
He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Gail Caswell of Millington, TN; son, Bobby Leon Johnson of Greenville; two sisters, Emily Ravencraft of Alabama, and Pat Daniels of Michigan; two brothers, J.P. Johnson of Greenville, and Cooter Johnson of Arcola; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
