Robert Russell Coleman

Funeral services for Robert Russell Coleman, 81, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.  He died Tuesday, November 27 at Delta Regional Medical Center.  Burial will be in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Robert was born in Boyle, MS and received his education in the Hollandale Public Schools.  He started his working career at an early age doing farm mechanic work and later he managed Hampton Cotton Gin. Robert enjoyed horseback riding, cooking for friends and visiting and talking with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Mae French Coleman; brothers, Alfred, Gene and Billy and by a sister, Peggy Friddle.  He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Newsom (Bill) of Rolling Fork and Teresa Finger (Jimmy) of Vicksburg; three sons, Ralph Coleman (Lorna) of Vicksburg, Rodney Coleman of Greenville and Russell Coleman (Leigh Ann) of Greenville; brother, Larry Coleman of Greenville; four sisters, Betty Touchstone of Bude, MS, Joyce Dyson of Mustang, OK, Jane Reynolds of Hollandale and Dianna Latham of Greenville; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Ray McGehee, Doug McGehee, Hank Ferguson, Billy Muirhead, Garrett Baugh, and Billy Baugh.
