Funeral services for Ronnie Mack Norwood, 83, of Greenville will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado. He died Friday, October 20 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson. Burial will be in the Greenville City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Norwood was born on April 14, 1934 in West, MS to Jake and Ethel Braiser Norwood. He served in the U. S. Army and National Guard where he was a bayonet instructor. Mr. Norwood was a salesman and truck driver for Mrs. Stratton’s Salads, out of Jackson for 26 years, retiring in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters, two sons, Ronnie Keith Norwood and Jimmy Ray Norwood and by a daughter, Terri Lynn Eiland.
He is survived by his wife, Linda C. Norwood of Greenville; five daughters, Kay Baxter (Perry) of Lucedale, MS, Sherri Jones of Lucedale, MS, Pam Norwood of Pascagoula, MS, Mona Milan (Jr.) of Leland and Amanda West (Wayne) of Leland; a son, Ronnie Earl Norwood (Jodi) of Leland; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
