Funeral services for Rose Katherine (Kitty) Keith, 81, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22 at Hollandale Baptist Church. She died peacefully on Tuesday, April 19 at home surrounded by her family. Burial will be in Hollandale City Cemetery.
Kitty was born July 26, 1934 at home in Humphreys County to Ernest and Ada Harper. She attended Hollandale High School. She was a homemaker and loved playing cards and spending time with her children, grands and great-grands.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bennie C. Keith, Sr., a daughter, Dale Inez Keith, her parents, Ernest and Ada Harper, one sister, Louise King, one son-in-law, Earl Long, one daughter-in-law, Eugenia Keith, grandson-in-law, Jarrod Johnson, and one great-granddaughter, Addie Elise McCoy.
Mrs. Keith is survived by son Bennie Keith, Jr. (Diane), daughter Gay Long, son Harper Keith, and daughter Donna Wade (Thom); grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Bennie Keith III (Emily Ann), Marty Long (Dixie), Amanda Domino (Chris), Laura Andrus (Brian), Luke Keith, Kit McCoy (Wayne), Melissa Johnson (Warren), and Thomas Wade III; great grandchildren, Braxton and Eliza Johnson, Madison and Bryson Keith, Dylan Lofton, Mason Long, Taylor Schmidt, Jacob and Sydney Domino, Way McCoy, Kallie Johnson and Jenna-Marie Belk; one brother-in-law, H. D. King, and two nieces, Pam Wilson and Ann Eason.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21 at Boone Chapel in Hollandale and also a visitation one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. The family request memorials be made to Arms of Mercy, P. O. Box 4691, Greenville, MS 38704.
