Rose Marie Rosella Morris

Funeral Mass for Rose Marie “Rosie” Rosella Morris, 89, of Flowood and formerly of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 28 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Flowood. She died peacefully on Monday, October 24 at her home in Flowood. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 28 in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Rosie was a native of Greenville, Mississippi. She graduated high school from Greenville High School and attended Mississippi College for Women. She was a member of the Colonial Garden Club, Greenville Junior Women’s Club, and Coterie Club. She was a member of Greenville’s St. Joseph Catholic Church and later St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Flowood. Rosie was known for her laughter, incredible smile, and amazing faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love. 

Rosie is survived by her 11 children, Marie Hillhouse (Danny), Barbara Signa (Doe), JoAnne Braswell, Amy Smith (Frank), Margaret Touchstone, Jane Noe (Jeff), Julia Kelso, Bill Morris (Donna), Ginny Evans (Darren), Frank Morris (Melinda), and Kate Morris. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Rosie is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Morris, her parents, Frank and Marie Rosella, grandchild, Karen Hillhouse Ferguson, and great-grandchildren, Will McGhee Strange and John Carter Edwards. 

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards a memorial in memory of Rose Marie Morris to St. Paul Catholic Church, 5971 Highway 25, Flowood, MS 39232.
