Roy Lawrence Lott (Larry) of Greenville passed away peacefully at the age of 65 at home on May 16th, 2020. Larry was born December 28th, 1954 in Missouri.
Larry worked for Dewitt Auction Co. of Missouri for over 40 years. His knowledge of farm equipment will be missed by many who depended on him. Larry’s love of and involvement in C&P Hunting Club will be missed by his “hunting camp family” of many years.
Larry is preceded in death by parents Hubert and Reba Lott and one sister Linda Lott Steadman.
Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years Margie Dendy Lott, 4 sons Matt Lott (wife Toni Lott), Jeremy Lott, Jeff Smith (wife Amanda Smith), Stacy Smith (wife Debbie), 1 daughter Jennifer Loftin (husband Ken Loftin), and one sister Lisa Stockton (husband Leroy Stockton). Larry leaves 16 grandchildren Cody Lott, Cierra Lott, Millie Lott, Emma Lott, Denver Smith, Hayden Boykin, Ben McCool, John Michael Smith, Jacob Smith, Ethan Smith, Haille Armstrong, Hannah Armstrong, Lucas Griffin, Malorie Loftin, MaryBeth Loftin, Darci Loftin, Kylie Saltzman, Corbin Lott, and Riley Smith. Larry also leaves behind his beloved dog Jack.
Honorary pallbearers include Wilson Powers, Mike Powers, Floyd Trammell, Phil Lee, John Adams, Randy Stone, and Harry Adams.
Family has requested in leu of flowers for donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Larry.
Visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home on Thursday May 21st, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a private service to follow.
