Funeral Services for Ruth Ethridge Branning, 82, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. with a visitation prior at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Sunday, June 5, 2022. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery.
She was born in Leland, MS to Edith Eileen and Richard Strickland, and a graduate of Leland High School. She loved being a secretary for Mississippi Department of Transportation where she worked for over 30 years and retired in 2000.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Ethridge; brothers, Mearl, Edward, Learl, and Eugene Strickland; sister Edith Sommers and husband O.G. Branning.
She is survived by her son Mark (Jill) Ethridge and daughter LeAnne (Jeremy) Hughes; brother Noel Strickland and 5 grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie, Kennedy, Madison and Mabry.
Pallbearers are Mark Hooker, Lawrence Berry, Kevin Magee, Austin Ethridge, Jim Etheridge and Jeremy Hughes.
