Salvador Carmelo Sarullo

A Mass of Christian Burial for Salvador Carmelo Sarullo, 87, of Greenville will be at 11:30 am, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greenville. He passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018 at his home, following a long illness.  Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Salvador was born February 26, 1931 in Greenville, MS, graduated from St. Joseph High School (formerly St. Rose of Lima), and attended Springhill College, Mobile, AL. He was a lifelong resident of Greenville, where he was considered as a well respected and successful business man. He was known for his integrity, generosity, and involvement in the community, and over the years helped many who were in need. He served as President of the St. Joseph High School Alumni Association, and will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carmelo Vincent and Rose Danna Sarullo, and the love of his life, Iris Trangmar. He is survived by several cousins and numerous close friends and associates. 

Pallbearers will be Sam Lipe, Bob Serio, Frank John Serio, Carter DeAngelo, John Paul DeAngelo, Greg Bernardi, and Gabe Bernardi. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Sarullo, Ricky DeAngelo, and Terry Murrell.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the loving caregivers and nurses who cared for Salvador during his lengthy illness, especially Jenny Westerly, Mary Ann Evans, and Valerie Morris.

There will be a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.  Father Bill Henry will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that Salvador be remembered with donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church (412 Main St.; Greenville, MS), St, Joseph High School (1501 VFW Road; Greenville, MS), St. Vincent de Paul Society (P.O. Box 1523, Greenville, MS) or the charity of your choice.
