Samuel Steven Morlino, 61, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
He was a lifelong resident of Leland where he attended Mississippi Delta Community College and received his Masters degree at Delta State University. He taught and coached at Leland High School for 32 years and he also owned and operated Cheers Package Store. He was an active member of the Leland Community and served for 17 years as Park Commissioner. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
He is survived by daughter, Melissa M. Rumley (Eddie) of Greenville; sister, Jackie Morlino of Leland, brother, Scott Morlino (Vanessa) of Greenville; 4 grandchildren, Morgan, Dylan, Paoli Rumley and Michael Morlino; numerous nieces and nephews.
