Funeral services for Sarah Gann Walters, 91, of Greenville, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Greenville. She died Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
Mrs. Walters was born in Millport, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama where she married Stanley Walters, of Ellisville, Mississippi.
After moving to Greenville in 1967, she was active in the Alice Bell Garden Club, Junior Women’s Club, and UMW group, Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Stanley Craig Walters. She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Lord, of Greenville, and Peggy (Wayne) Allen, of Highland Village, Texas; five grandchildren, Lisa Lord, Dr. Allison Lord (Jeff) Griffin, Craig (Katherine) Allen, Cody Allen, and Ashlyn Allen; and three great grandchildren, Shane Griffin, Avery Anne Griffin, and Eden Nicole Allen.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church.
