Scotty Auvergne Tabb

Funeral services for Scotty Auvergne Tabb, 71, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado St. He passed away on November 27, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi due to complication following bypass surgery on November 2. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Scotty was born in Calhoun City, Mississippi in 1946 to Billie and Mary Joe Tabb. He graduated from Greenville High School. He was married to his wife Peggy Tabb for 48 wonderful years. Scotty was an avid hunter and fisherman, who shared a love for the outdoors. Anyone who knew Scotty knows that he had a strong love for his family and friends, and he never met a stranger. Most people remember him as the former owner of Tabb’s BBQ, where he always greeted everyone with a smile and a hug. 

He was preceeded in death by his father Billie Rush Tabb. He is survived by his mother Mary Joe Tabb, his brother Ronnie Tabb (Debbie), his sister Ramona Mallard (Kim), his wife Peggy Tabb, and his daughter Tiffany Morris (Rusty). Scotty is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Morris (Sarah), Hannah Morris, Avery Morris, and a great grandson Henry Morris. Scotty is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 1 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home.
