Funeral services for Sherry Lynn Branning Sims, 61, of Hollandale will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Boone Chapel, Hollandale. She died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims was born in Greenville and graduated from Riverside High School then attended Mississippi Delta Community College. She married John Franklin Dees who preceded her in death. She then married Everett Sims, Jr. in 1998 making their home in Hollandale. She was employed with Greenville Mills for many years. Mrs. Sims was a member of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Bell McDaniel Branning , grandchild, Dyllon Davis and a brother, Robert McMichael, Jr.
She is survived by her husband Everett Sims, Jr. of Hollandale; 4 daughters, Shannon Hamill of Santa Maria, CA; Rebecca Davis of Hollandale; Stephanie Stewart of Cary, MS and Amanda Owen of Brandon, MS; Father, O.B. Branning of Greenville; Sister, Barbara McMichael of Hollandale; 3 Brothers, O. M. Branning of Nashville, TN; John McMichael of Jackson, MS and Lewis Branning of Hollandale, MS; and 9 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
