Funeral services for Shirley Ann Britt Yeager, 77, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Tuesday, June 21 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens, Greenville.
She was born in Belzoni, MS and married James Yeager, Sr. They made their home in Greenville where she worked as a waitress for many years at the Ramada Inn, retiring in 1996. Mrs. Yeager attended the Baptist Church and for the past year had been a resident at Mississippi Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and by a son, Carl Dean Yeager. She is survived by her daughter, Carla Martar of Greenville; son, James “Chuck” Yeager, Jr., of Greenville; 2 sisters, Deana Tacker of Jackson and Alice Wolfe of Vicksburg; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family, friends and by her best friend, Carolyn Henderson.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Mississippi Care Center and Delta Regional Medical Center staff.
