Funeral services for Shui Chun Hung, 84, retired grocery store owner of Belzoni, MS will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at her home in Belzoni.
Mrs. Hung was born on February 14, 1936 in Hoi Ping, Canton, China to the late Quong Yin Woo and Fay Ming Woo. In 1956, she married Tin Po Hung and moved to the United States in 1969. They made their home in Inverness, MS and later moved to Greenville where they owned and operated Sun Sing Grocery Store. In 1988, they moved to Belzoni and had been a resident since, where they owned and operated Paul’s Grocery and Chinese Takeout where she retired in 2015 and turned it over to the next generation. She was a member of the Greenville Chinese Mission.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two daughters, Judy Hung Pearson and Lucy Hung.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Nancy) Hung of Belzoni; her six daughters, Margaret (Lipford) Moy of Greenville, Diana (James) Finn of Greenville, Pearl Hung of Boston, MA, Ruby (Alton) Lee of San Antonio, TX, Anna Hung of Belzoni, and Lynn (Matt) Rushing of Olive Branch; along with ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2020 and Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
