Memorial services for Stanley A. Wright, 81, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020.
Mr. Wright was born September 24, 1938 in Merigold, MS. He served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1961 and served in Vietnam with defense contractors from 1967 to 1972. Afterwards, he spent his life in Greenville in electronics and as a business owner. He also was elected and served as Washington County Coroner. He enjoyed coon hunting and spending time with friends. He was a member of the American Legion where he served in many positions to include commander.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley H. Wright and Melissa Yarborough Wright and two brothers, Donald Wright and David Wright.
Mr. Wright is survived by the mother of four of his children, Shizue Wright; his children, James A. Wright of Greenville, Barbara Makamson (Todd) of Bossier City, LA, Kevin H. Wright of Memphis, TN, Steven A. Wright of Greenville and Cathy Braaten (Beau) of Hoquiam, WA; two brothers, James Wright of Goldonna, LA and Gerald Wright of Gaylesville, AL; two sisters, Peggy Grossi of Greenville and Molly Young of Grand Bay, AL; eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
