Funeral services for Stanley P. “Bo” Lancaster, Jr., 64, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23 at Boone Funeral Home. “Bo” as he was known by his family and friends, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19 in Southaven. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home.
He was born on December 15, 1952 in Greenville, MS. He attended Greenville schools and graduated from Greenville High School in 1969. After serving in the United States Air Force, he returned to call Greenville his home.
Bo was a hardworking man who retired from Uncle Ben’s after many years. He was proud to call Lake Ferguson his home. His family and friends will truly miss his stories and impromptu gatherings, as he loved to entertain his “brothers”. He was a true nature lover, and the birds and wildlife around the lake will miss him, as the highlight of his day was to feed the many animals surrounding his home.
If you met Bo once-you would never forget him. He will be greatly missed by all.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Stanley P. and Sara M. Lancaster; and sister, Margie Harms of Medford, Oregon. Bo is survived by his three children: daughters, Stephanie Teague, Leila Lancaster-Tilley; and son, Lee Lancaster (Kelly). He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Jackson (Larry), Beth Clatchey (Shannon); grandchildren, August Cheney, Raelee and Rhett Lancaster, McKenzie Holliman, McLain and Wyatt Teague. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many lifelong friends who were his “brothers” and he loved them as such.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
