Funeral services for Susan Hong Jue, 89, of Rolling Fork will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 10 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Wednesday, June 1 at Sharkey Issaquena Nursing Home in Rolling Fork. Burial will follow in Greenville Chinese Cemetery.
Mrs. Jue was born in Hughes, AR moving to Joiner, AR where she received her education. She spent some early years in Hong Kong then returned to the United States where she met and married Sam Jue. They made their home in Rolling Fork and owned and operated Sam Sing Company for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2011, brothers, Wing Shuck Jeu and Wing Quon Jeu and by a sister, Mae Hong. She is survived by 2 sons, Larry Jue (Lucy) of Rolling Fork and Richard Jue of Rolling Fork; a daughter, Linda Jue of Yazoo City; a brother, Wing F. Hong (Lin) of San Jose, CA; a sister, Shirley Williams of Sandford, FL; a granddaughter, Christina Jue (Max Ivester) of Columbia, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
