Sydney Dana McWilliams passed away in the night at her home in Greenville on February 20, 2024 at the age of 74.
She is survived by her children, Dana King of Tunica, Mississippi, Rebecca Riddel of Savannah, Georgia, and Katheryn McWilliams of Leland, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents Trixie and Edward Guss .
Sydney was born January 12, 1950, in Greenville MS. She worked in local clothing stores but her true passion was horses and she attended riding school and worked with horses. In her later years, Sydney worked a variety of jobs from hospital transcriptionist to newspaper delivery.
She had a passion for photography and would often carry her camera with her. She was also a great animal lover. She enjoyed the quiet, good books, and being out in nature. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and anyone who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at a later date followed by a family gathering at Katheryn’s home in Leland.
